포브스 선정 클라우드 100 리스트(2020년), 알짜 기업을 찾아보자!

 

2016년부터 미국 경제 잡지 포브스가 베세머(Bessemer) 벤처 파트너스와 세일즈포스 벤처스의 협력을 통해, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 영역에서 가장 눈에 띄는 100개의 우수 비상장 기업 리스트를 발표해오고 있다.

 

올해 2020년 9월에도 리스트를 발표했다. 

이 리스트를 통해 어느 분야가 뜨겁게 경쟁하며, 어떤 기업이 특정 카테고리에서 리드하고 있으며, 어느 지역에서 우수한 기업이 나타나는지도 확인할 수 있다.

아래 기업에서 아직 꽃피기 전의 유망한 기업들을 발굴해보자.

 

 

 

 

 

목록에있는 회사는 성장, 판매, 가치 평가 및 문화뿐만 아니라 퍼블릭 클라우드 회사 동료의 43 명의 CEO 심사 위원 및 임원과의 협의를 통해 얻은 평판 점수를 기준으로 선정되었다.

컨설팅기업 가트너는 지난해 발표한 글로벌 퍼블릭 클라우드 서비스시장 전망에서

2018년부터 오는 2022년까지 클라우드시장이 연평균 16.1%씩 성장해 3312억달러(약 390조원)에 이를 것으로 분석했다.

이 기간 성장률은 무려 81.6%나 급증한 수치다.

 

 

 

 

영국의 글로벌 시장조사업체 카날리스에 따르면 2018년 전체 시장규모는 804억달러(약 96조5000억원)로 전년에 비해 약 46%나 증가했다.

주요 기업별 시장점유율을 보면 가장 먼저 클라우드서비스를 시작한 아마존 웹서비스는 31,7%(254억달러)의 점유율로 1위다.

2,3위는 마이크로소프트 애저와 구글 클라우드 플랫폼이 각각 16.8%, 8.5%의 점유율을 나타냈다.

 

나머지 43%의 시장은 중국의 알리바바 클라우드를 비롯해 IBM, 세일즈포스, 오라클, NTT커뮤니케이션스, 텐센트클라우드,OVH 등이 양보없는 각축전을 벌이고 있다.
